In this section of my blog, I am going to be writing about sports.

First Up: The Spanish La Liga El Classico between Barcelona FC and Real Madrid

It was a really exciting match between the two big rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona FC.  Both stars, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo were the starters in the game and were kept in the whole time.  Here is a good website about the 2012 El Clasico:  http://www.sbnation.com/laliga/2012/10/7/3469586/real-madrid-vs-barcelona-2012-el-clasico-final-score-match-report-result
Then, in the 13th minute, Karim Benzema had a wonderful chance but missed.  Sergio Ramos, also from Real Madrid, had a wonderful chance from a set piece 6 minutes later but couldn't get the header on target.  Then, a little later, Cristiano Ronaldo scored a left footed goal from a pass from Benzema.  It was a 1-0 game.

Next Up: Barcelona FC Preforming Amazingly

Barcelona FC, my favorite football team, has recently gotten 55 points out of a possible 57.  That is the best start to a La Liga season in history.  Also, Messi scored 91 goals during the whole of 2012.  That beats Gerd Muller's old record of 85 goals in one calendar year.  Andres Iniesta was recently named the world's best play-maker and Xavi and Messi came second and third.  Here are some videos:

The Champions League group stage match between Barcelona and AC Milan took turn yesterday in Barcelona, Spain at 2:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, and it was pretty exciting.  This was the second time these two powerhouses have played and last game, AC Milan won at home 2-0.  After the game, the Barcelona coach said that Barca have a home game to look forward to and they still had their hopes high.  5 minutes after the whistle was blown, Leonel Messi scored a goal with 4 different defenders around him.  In the 47th minute, Lionel Messi was back making a slalom-like run into the Milan are before cutting outside and putting a low shot on target. Christian Abbiati easily made the save but it was yet another reminder for Milan about how precarious their situation is.  In the 55th minute the inevitable happened as Barcelona scored yet again. Milan did it to themselves in a way with a terrible clearance attempt by Christian Zapata that was intercepted by Xavi. After taking a moment to look over his options Xavi sent a pass back into the Milan box that Kevin Constant decided to try and jump out on. He missed and left David Villa one-on-one with Christian Abbiati. Villa buried his shot into the corner of the net and Barca are now up 3-0 on the day and 3-2 on aggregate.  Overall, it was an exciting game and Barcelona succeeded in the end.

Barcelona vs PSG:

Barcelona were the favorites out of the two teams to win this match, but Paris Saint-Germain put up a good fight.  In the first leg of this match, the teams had tied 2-2 at PSG.  However, Messi injured his hamstring and had to come for a substitute.  Here are some videos about it:

Next Up: The Second Leg of The Champions League Between Real Madrid & Borussia Dortmund

It was an exciting game between both legendary teams Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League.  Real Madrid lost the first leg game horribly 4 goals to 1, so they needed to get some goals and win in just one match.  Borussia Dortmund won the German League last year, while Real Madrid won the Copa Del Rey in Spain, so they both were doing good.  Here is a good link to where I am getting the information from:

Now Up: The Game Between Borussia Dortmund & Bayern Munich

Information gotten from: http://keepingscore.blogs.time.com/2013/05/24/an-all-german-champions-league-final-can-borussia-dortmund-upset-bayern-munich/

“If we win, we will not be the best team in the world – we will have beaten the best team in the world.” So said Jurgen Klopp, manager of Borussia Dortmund, ahead of his squad’s Saturday showdown against rivals Bayern Munich in the final of the European Champions League, the world’s preeminent club soccercompetition. The game’s global TV audience is bigger than the Super Bowl‘s. Klopp is being justifiably humble—his team are rank underdogs for the game, which will be played at London‘s Wembley Stadium. Bayern, who conspired to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in the final last year against English side Chelsea, are the New York Yankees of German soccer, an evil empire buttressed by unmatched finances, a peerless pedigree and a superpower’s sense of entitlement; they dominated the German domestic league this year, finishing 25 points ahead of Klopp’s Dortmund.
